Another downfall for many toads, the Eastern
Hognose Snake (Heterodon platyrhinus) is a predator that specializes
in consuming toads and may visit temporal waters in search of their
prey. Dorothy Hayslett captured this black-phased female in Amherst
County during June of 2003. |
